Cary Adams founded Proximal Ventures in 2008, upon hisretirement from active legal practice at MurphyAustin Adams Schoenfeld LLP, where he led its healthcare practice.  Voted a Northern California SuperLawyer in Healthcare Law by his peers in 2005 through 2007, he was also thefounding President of the Sacramento Angelsand the founding Chairman of the Sacramento AreaRegional Technology Alliance (SARTA). He has taught a course on legal issues in healthcare delivery atMcGeorge Law School, USC’s MHA program, and UC Davis Working MBA program.  He has represented top health systems,academic medical centers, government agencies, and a wide variety of businessesand professionals working in the healthcare industry, primarily in regulatoryand corporate matters.  He has aBachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctorfrom the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief ofthe Maryland Law Review.
